Game Payment Technology – Cashless Payments
Game Payment is a new cashless payment system that enables players to use a mobile phone app to credit machines, this process is currently the only way to credit a gaming machine without using cash. The app is free to download and available from the App Store and Google Play.
Once a player has downloaded the app they register their details to create a new account, verify their age and add their bank details. Players can then transfer funds from their bank onto the app, which can then be used to credit any enabled machine that has the Game Payment system fitted.
Players will receive £10 worth of free bonus credits when they first deposit £10 or more onto the app, they can then connect to any machine that is fitted with the payment system via Bluetooth and
credit the machine. If a player uses the app to credit a gaming machine, any winnings they collect will be paid back onto the app which can then be withdrawn back onto their debit card.
The Game Payment system is currently available on a range of gaming machine models and amusement machines. New technology is being developed to fit the Game Payment system onto electronic pool tables using its own independent power source, this will eliminate the current issue operators face of fitted contactless card readers draining the battery within a matter of days.
